    Until today, I never had this problem. Today, however, my phone repeatatly kept freezing or operating slowly. I did a soft and a hard reset on my phone to no avail. I did not download anything this past week. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

    Welcome to Android Central! By hard reset, do you mean a full factory reset?

    If you have an SD card inserted, unmount it in Settings>Storage, then remove it and reboot. A corrupt card can cause various issues.

    Also consider booting into Safe Mode, which prevents all 3rd party apps from opening at first. You can then open apps one by one, which can help you pinpoint which app might be causing the problem. http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11474
