Why do I get error messages when trying to download from the Google Play Store?

Error downloading from Google Play Store

Error while retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-87203]

What can I do to fix this problem ?

Welcome to Android Central! There are lots and lots of threads about this. Things to try:

1. See if this occurs regardless of wi-fi or mobile data connection.
2. Go to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Force Stop, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Do the same for Download Manager.
3. Go to Setttings>Accounts​, remove your Google account completely, then add it back again.
