An alternative to close Active Applications

Recently my S3 home button stopped working. The only thin I used it for was to close the active applications and I can't do that now. Anybody know of any good alternatives.

I don't need a task manager app. I just want something that directly opens the active applications app

Welcome to Android Central! Do you force close open apps habitually? It's not the best thing to do, performance or battery-wise. See these articles:
