Welcome to Android Central! Windows should be able to identify the device and install a generic USB driver. What happens when you plug the device into the computer with a USB cord? If nothing happens, look on the device, swipe down the notification panel, and see if there is a USB connection notification. If so, tap it, and make sure MTP or USB Mass Storage is selected.

If there is no USB connection notification, then try another cable, or try connecting to another computer (preferably, one with a more current OS like Windows 7 or 8.1).

Try HTC Driver 4.10.0.001 (Windows 2k/XP)

(XP did a very poor job of finding drivers. Vista was the first version that was halfway decent at that.)
