Rooting HTC DESIRE 600 DUAL SIM

I am using HTC Desire 600 Dual Sim. I want to root my mobile and install custom ROM (Kit kat 4.4). Please tell me how to do it. Please explain me along with proper sequences. thank you

If you install a custom ROM it most likely will be rooted, so why waste time rooting a ROM you're going to overwrite anyway? (The ROM gets rooted, not the phone.)

To install a custom ROM, find one for your model phone and follow the instructions for flashing it. Different ROMs, even for the same phone, can be flashed differently. It depends on how the ROM developer put it together.

Just wanted to ask is it safe to install Lollipop on this phone?
Will it work fine or cause any hardware issues?
