i'm a US resident and citizen and i have been using all the google play stuff (movies, books, music etc.) all the time.
for the last year or so i have been living outside of the US but have continued to use these productes with my US account, but this morning I was asked to agree again to the terms of service of the play store, after which i got the limited non-US version (can't buy books, limited apps ect.). is there any way i can go back to the american version??

    Perhaps thru a VPN?

Your options on the Play Store depend on the IP address from which you're contacting it. If it's a US IP address, you get US options. As cpaight said, use a VPN service that's US-based and you'll appear to the Play Store to be in the US.

I tried using TunnelBear but that didn't seem to work.

Are you sure that the TunnelBear server you were using shows a US IP address?
