why is my battery draining?

i have a droid razr hd and its been great!,but recently my battery has been draining in 4 hours. i look and see whaf is using up tje most battery and its the android systems 30%! why is it doing this, and what can i do to stop it

Yes, that does happen from time to time. A Soft Reset may fix it....Power Off the phone followed by Restart.
If no good, try Settings, Apps, swipe to All, scroll to Android System, select Force Stop, then Power Off the phone and Restart.

Did it recently receive an update? That will increase system usage. (Although 30% isn't much more than the usual 21-22%.)
