I have a Nexus 5 that does not currently have a SIM card in it because it's not my daily driver. Will I still get the Lollipop update or does it require the phone to have a SIM card in it?

    Thanks in advance.

I switched my SIM card to my new Nexus 5, so I have an old Galaxy S3 with no SIM card. AT&T just downloaded a 63mb update to KitKat 4.4.2 to the SIM-less Galaxy, so no, the SIM card is not necessary for an update. And since the Nexus update comes from Google rather than your carrier, it should not be an issue.
