3 questions for HTC One M8

Hello guys, I'm not a new Android user but i changed 1 month ago from the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the HTC One M8. So, i got 3 questions and i hope i get them answered

1. When i flash a ROM and restore it later to Stock, will it change my s-off back to s-on?

2. Is the rom flashing similar like the flashing on the Galaxy S5?

3. Are there some Toolkits which make the restore easier? I found the htc one toolkit... Are there any other programs which are better?

I don't think I have seen you around before. Welcome to the forums.

Once I got Unlocked and rooted with S Off, flashing ROMs is as simple as using a custom recovery. I don't know how it is done on the Samsung any longer. As for S On, I do not believe it is as simple as flashing a stock ROM (I could very well be wrong).

Check out XDA for toolkits. I can't remember which one I used.

There's no "restore". You flash a custom ROM, which completely replaces the stock ROM. If you want to go back to the stock ROM, you flash that.

If you think you might ever want to "restore" the phone to stock, make sure you have a copy of the stock ROM flash file before flashing anything else. There's no "undo" in flashing.
