How can I regress from Lollipop to KitKat?

how can you regress from lollipop to kitkat?

Made a mistake by accepting lollipop downgrade. Can no longer use stock email without a gmail account. I have no use for that google tentacle!
Any help to regress the lollipop os on a nexus 10 will be a appreciated.

Cannot downgrade unless you root and install custom stuff. Over my head.

Install a 3rd party mail app, like MyMail or K9 mail or Yahoo Mail and you should be fine.

Like KC said, you can't downgrade without going the way of root. If I may suggest an email client, I would try K-9 mail.

It depends on the phone, but you might be able to flash a 4.4.4 or 4.4.2 stock ROM, or a Cyanogen ROM.

Thanks everyone, I'll try K-9, it means I'll have to get my wife up to speed with it, she will adapt I am sure. I should have taken my own advice " if it ain't broke don't fix it".

OK K-9 installed but if I understand correctly it requires the Gmail app to synchronize contacts. Gmail is stopped on the Nexus 10. Reboots do not fix it so I guess its broken. Anyone know how to get K-9 access to contacts?
