On my Samsung Galaxy Tablet Model SCH 1815 running Android 4.0.4, when I launch my gmail app I see a list of email. When I click on one to read it, the body of the email peeks for about 1 second, then goes away, leaving only the header of the email.

I can click on the individual email again and it does the same thing. I believe this started happening after a system upgrade from Google.

I tried B Diddy's suggestion and the problem persists.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps>All, select Gmail, and Force Stop, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now open it again, and wait for Gmail to sync. See if the problem persists.

Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps in this video, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition. When complete, then select Reboot System Now.
