I'm very technologically inept.
When I go to recovery mode on my Nexus 5, one of the options says, "apply update from ADB". Can anyone tell me what this means? How do I know if I should update it?

Thank you

It means that you have the update on a computer and are going to use a program on that computer named adb to update the phone. Don't use it. Go to Settings/General/About device, and select Software update. If there's one available, that will download it and install it. (Make sure you have a fully charged battery and the phone is connected to the charger when you do a ROM update.)
