How I move or hide the IME switcher in Lollipop?

I use SwiftKey on both my tablet and phone, both of which have updated to Lollipop. I've repeatedly hit the IME switcher that Lollipop now places directly under the return key on my keyboard. How can I get rid of or move that stupid keyboard icon, other than uninstalling SwiftKey?

I tried disabling the Google keyboard app, but that doesn't help. The only thing that does is cause "language and input" to stop working in the settings menu.
