How do I replace a gmail account on Samsung Galaxy with another Gmail account

my husband & I exchanged phones. We transferred pictures, music, contacts but can't get my gmail off "his" phone.

Have you tried adding his email account and then deleting yours afterward?

Is "your" phone new or has it been on your husband's Google account?

This is an interesting one, but I am sure better responders than I will have an instant solution.

Have you both been able to download apps from your seperate Google accounts on the Play Store to your "new" device? I suspect at least one is still a registered device on the former account.

Go to play.google.com/settings and check if the old or new device is visible under Visibility.
You can try and Hide a device from it's old account, or re-name it.

I suspect you may need to reset at least one of them, but you may not need to go that far.

Menu--Settings--Account--

Select Google
Then select where your address is on the top.
From here, on the LG G2, select Menu
From there, it gives an option to remove account.
