I have a galaxy s3 i747 unlocked phone, I love it very much. Had it for a good while now, its a great phone. So I was told about cyanogenmod, it can help the battery life etc. So I thought I'd give it a try, had to root the device first. It kept failing, did it many times. Then hours later, I found out about the cyanogen installer, that failed as well. now my phone shows on the download screen:

ODIN MODE (in red)
Product Name: SGH-I747
Current Binary: custom
System Status: custom
Qualcomm SecureBoot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1 (in red)
Bootloader RP SWREV: 3

I also learned about knox after all this, and I cant figure that out either, apparently I have to root my phone to use apps to get rid of knox, but knox prevents one from rooting their phone? wth?

So I decided to call a quits, and go back to stock android, didn't have a problem with it in the first place. but now... for example. when I use swiftkey app, and I try to download languages it wont let me, it says it cant. And I cant back up colornote, I backed it up on my SD.

So if anyone would be kind enough to help me on this, either getting cyanogenmod on my phone, or going back to how it was before all this, I would really appreciate this.

PS: I did a factory reset and didn't work.

PS: Also I should mention, when installing the CyanogenMod with the Installer, While its going on, for a slight moment, I see the android bot logo on screen, laying down with a red triangle with an "!" at the center. But then it goes back to the CyanogenMod Logo, and when its finsihed, it gives me these boot options, and it always reboots to the stock android, not matter which option I chose. It has 4.4.2 on it.

The Cyanogenmod installer doesn't work well all the time. Took me a few tries with my old s2. Needed to install the Samsung drivers halfway through to get it to work. Also disabled dev options then re enabled it. Tried different usb cables etc. If you can get it to work, then this is definitely the preferred route.

On my s3 i went the other route of using Odin to root and then copied the Cyanogenmod and gapps zip files to the phone and then flashed them from recovery. This isn't that difficult, but if you are unfamiliar, then maybe look for a YouTube video. Cyanogenmod is definitely worth it in my opinion.

What do you mean " Needed to install the Samsung drivers halfway through to get it to work". And I did try Different USB cables, and "disabled dev options then re enabled it". I unplugged and re plugged the phone in and it installed some drivers. Also, make sure that the usb is using PTP mode. The android logo with the red ! is normal. You might need to perform a factory reset and wipe data and dalvik cache from the recovery menu and then try again. Could be why it boots back to stock.
Im sure you have been here CyanogenMod Installer - CyanogenMod but if not, this might help.

I am also not 100% certain that your model is compatible with the installer. If this doesnt work, you might be better off going the other route i mentioned previously.

Download the CORRECT 4.4.2 ROM (the correct carrier) from SamMobile Firmwares and flash it with Odin. (If it's running AT&T or Verizon firmware, you can't run anything but the stock ROM. You can find modified stock ROMS [bloatware removed, etc.], but the ROM has to be signed, and if someone at Samsung gives out the signing code, I think it's a hanging offense. (Getting into Fort Knox and walking out with a few bags of money is probably easier.)
