I know that after you root your phone and download Root Explorer, you can block/freeze OTAs by renaming:

FWUpgrade.apk to FWUpgrade.bak
FWUpgrade.odex to FWUpgrade.odex.bak

SDM.apk to SDM.bak
SDM.odex to SDM.odex.bak

I renamed the FWUpgrades, but the problem is that I don't see SDM.apk or SDM.odex anywhere...

What do I do?
(I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S4 on T-Mobile carrier if that makes a difference)

Welcome to the forums.☺

You know so much more than I do that I couldn't even attempt an answer but if you don't get an response here in the Ask A Question forum you might want to repost in the Samsung Galaxy S4 Rooting, ROMs & Hacks forum.

Look for an update app of some kind (the name depends on the carrier). Freeze it.

SDM.apk and SDM.odex are files, not apps. You'll find them using a file manager.

Well SDM.apk and SDM.odex are nowhere to be found on my phone, which I had shown in this screenshot (system/apps):

Do they have a different name for T-Mobile? If so, do you know what they are called?

Thanks.
