Unable to access Messages

Does anyone know how I stop the App Info page from stopping me getting to my messages. It comes up ss soon as I try to access my messages and I csn not figure out how to get rid of it.
Any help would be appreciated. As you have probably figured out I am new to android.

Welcome to Android Central! Which messaging app are you using? How are you opening it? The App Info page usually comes up if you select the app from the App Manager, so I wonder if you're trying to open it from the wrong screen. Make sure you're opening it from the homescreen (if you have a shortcut for the messaging app there) or the App Drawer (the list of all apps that comes up when you tap the icon that looks like a grid of dots, found in the favorites tray along the bottom of the homescreen).
