I want to buy a micro sd card for my Samsung Tab 10.5. What are the best cards to use? I have been looking at the Samsung Evo, Pro and Sandisk extreme class 10. Also are there any major differences in terms of speed between 32gb and 64gb? Any advice welcome on this.

There are only two factories that make the chips in SD cards, SanDisk and Samsung. I find SanDisk a much easier company to work with, so I stick to their cards. (The only problem is price, but I prefer a smaller card and higher quality if my money is limited.)

Everyone else buys their chips from those two companies. Are they getting prime chips or rejects? I don't know. But I've heard stories in the industry.

The speed difference is in the card type (Ultra, Extreme, etc.), not the size. (The speed difference due to size is so small that variations between cards of the same size are of about the same order.)

Unless you're never going to be storing files larger than 2GB (like long videos), format the card as exFAT, not FAT32. A FAT32 card can't hold a file larger than 4GB, and some video apps will break the file into pieces at the 2GB point for a FAT32 card.
