How do you reboot a galaxy S5 ? And will i lose my pics &' etc ???

Rebooting and restarting are two different words that mean the same thing. Press the power button until the menu comes up, then choose Restart, or power the phone off, then turn it on. Either way will reboot the operating system.

Are you sure you mean 'reboot'?
