Okay, so. Just got a brand new phone (Galaxy Note Edge) and immediately decided I want all my music on it since I've got the room. I slipped in my 64gb microSD (the phone is expandable up to 128gb) and put ~35gb of music on it. When all was said and done, I went to play some music and only about 5% of the music played, and most of that 5% it only played about 30 seconds of each song. I tried it with Google Music, Samsung Music and doubleTwist, all to no avail. Plus, 90% of the songs said unknown artist. I tried formatting the card with the phone and putting the music on it again (multiple times), I tried dragging and dropping (normally I just use Windows Media Player and sync it), I even tried manually making the folders for the music but not of this worked. How can I fix this?? Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to Android Central! Definitely don't use Windows Media Player to sync--that seems to be problematic, in my experience. Dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer is the best way--and it's also best to do it while the SD card is inserted directly into the computer (not while it's in the phone and connected via USB to the computer).

There can sometimes be problems if you copy massive amounts of data all at once. See what happens if you copy only a few albums at a time.
