I'm looking at the nvidia Shield tablet. I think it is one of the most interesting stock (almost) Android tablet available right now, considering the price. Do you think 16GB is enough (does microSD works well with most apps) or should I go with 32GB? I don't need LTE and it's one of the reasons the 32GB is much more expensive.

Welcome to Android Central! It's always better to get as much internal storage as you can afford. The SD card is primarily useful for storing media like music and videos. The ability to move apps to the SD card is limited--not all apps can be moved, and those that can only move a portion of the app to the SD. Since the Shield is a premium gaming device, you may end up installing a number of large games, each of which may require well over 1 GB of storage, so your internal storage can run low fairly quickly.
