How do I get the sound working on my new LG Optimus F6 Android?

I have a LG Optimus F6 android that I just got and the sound doesn't work

I just finished setting everything up on my phone and I had a phone call that i put on speaker but I could not hear them and they could not hear me. So i took it off speaker and we could hear each other fine. I then wanted to play my music but when the song started there was no sound, i then plugged my headphone in and could hear my music, notifications and phone calls perfectly. Is there something I can do to fix this? Help please.

Welcome to Android Central! Probably a defective main speaker. Bring the phone back and ask for an exchange.
