Why does my Nexus 4 ring after a VM is left on phone but the screen stays black?

Nexus 4- Phone rings after VM left on phone but screen stays black

I have a Nexus 4 and since upgrading to 5.0 (currently on 5.0.1) when someone leaves a VM, as soon as they have hung up, my phone will start ringing even though the screen does not wake up. If I wake it manually I just see the standard home screen (with a VM notification)The only way to stop the ringing is by putting the phone back to sleep. Has anyone else had this? I have been searching for similar issues but can't find any. I also had the issue with losing the voicemail number but resolved that. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Does that persist after a reboot? How about clearing the system cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5994
