It might be the TTY setting, which is in your Dialer apps settings. Open Dialer, tap menu, then Settings, then Call Settings, and turn TTY Mode off.

I have a s5 same problem cant get the icon off??

Welcome to Android Central! If the TTY setting doesn't work in the Dialer's Call Settings, then try Settings>Accessibility, and look for a Hearing Aid option.
