A friend of mine sold his galaxy mega on ebay. When he sent it to the winning bidder it was still all original software and stock samsung. The guy who got the phone then opened a case on ebay saying that the phone was not an official samsung product so seeing that eBay seem to protect their buyers more than the seller's eBay took the buyers side. The phone was returned but when he switched it on it came up with various error messages. Took it to a phone shop only to be told that the phone had been rooted.

Is there a way to undo this? Can someone give me instructions on as to how?
Not only has the phone been messed up but he lost money too. And the best about eBay or paypal don't want to hear anything about it..
