What sim card should I use before I sell my Verizon and S4 Mini?

Verizon and S4 Mini Sim Card: Preparing to Sell

Verizon says I should remove S4 Mini sim card before selling and they stated this phone is not locked. Are they correct? What sim card would I install before selling?

None. The Subscriber Information Module (SIM) card describes YOUR account. The buyer will get his own from Verizon.

The phone isn't locked, but it's missing one frequency Sprint used for 4G, so there's no guarantee it'll work in all Sprint markets. So it's basically "locked" to Verizon, the way cars are "locked" to land - nothing preventing you from driving off the end of a pier, but the car won't work. The phone might work on CDMA carriers in other countries without any problems.

As for Verizon MVNOs, SIM-locking would allow their SIMs anyway.
