What happened to my htc4g it will turn to black screen?

what happened to my cellphone because I can't use it when I turn on my cellphone 'htc my touch4g' that is the one you will see in the screen after that it will turn to black screen . What will I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Does the phone still seem to be on despite the black screen? Do you feel any vibrations, or hear any beeps, or notice any LED notification lights on? If the phone is actually shutting down after that welcome logo, it's possible the battery is failing. You may have to look into replacing it.
