I have a brand new 16gb Samsung galaxy s5 and its saying 14.98gb total space, 644mb available, and 283mb of apps. Where did my memory go? I cant download no more that about 4 apps and then I run into the insufficient storage message. When I go to application manager it says 14gb used and 644mb available I haven't even downloaded an app and the apps and bloatware on there doesn't even add up to 14 gigs! Where did the storage and memory go and how can I fix this problem?? No photos or videos on the phone the phone is brand new.

I think its an att unlocked phone.. But I'm not for sure because there is no att anywhere on the phone but it does have some bloatware which I don't know if that tells you if it was once locked to a carrier or not... OK I will try dialing the number above and try second option... I will also check out the thread and try to come up with something. Thanks again and OK hope to talk to you in 12 hour! Thanks

Hi. I don't understand why those storage shots are showing phone storage as empty, so the Android /Touchwiz operating system must be in internal sd storage. I don't know if those are regular storage displays by AT&T, or someone messed with the phone. You don't say how you acquired it. Antutu shows the correct specs but try Phone Spec and Genuine Galaxy apps.
Try the S5 forum, and also say Hi in Android Central Community - Introductions and ask the Ambassadors there, who line up to rrspond.

Otherwise some may respond here later.

But to be clear - is it working normally?
You can save your media files and try a factory reset, but it may not help.
(General - Back up and Reset - Factory data reset).

You can also take screenshots of the screen which save as Screenshots in Gallery, and post them here via the AC Forums app, Android Central app or Tapatalk. Hold power and home together to take a shot.

HiI have been messing around on it all night last night and I have come to the conclusion that it is a fake! And very good one at that except for the storage space and a few other lil details I started to realize about the phone. So yea all this fuss and me trying to fix it I was just wasting my time. And o yea I can't even take a screenshot that's one of the details that makes it a fake! I have been dipped! So I am going to sell this one and just get a huawei mate 7!
