S4 "Gamma" displayed on lock screen?

[AC Question]

Hi, new to android and this S4 so just finding my way around.

Can anyone tell me why the lock screen of my new work S4 has the word "Gamma" displayed at the bottom of the lock screen? (just above "Emergency Call").


It doesn't appear to do anything but I can't make it go away.

If I set the unlock to just swipe and touch it I can drag it around the screen, but that's all.

Any help appreciated

If other employees received one, perhaps theirs have other letters, as a sort of serial number?
If not, was the phone set up in some way, by the network say, before you received it?

Looks like other have the same thing. Phone was set up in advance.

Puzzled/curious though - doesn't appear to do anything and it's not a unique identifier

If I slide the notification tray down from the top of the screen, I get a blue bar across the bottom of it that also says "Gamma"

Aah turns out it's carrier info/branding... Never heard of them before though...
