My phone has been rooted, what can I do?

my phone has been rooted what can i do

i have a samsung galaxy s4
i bought it second hand off of a friend it has been rooted what does this mean? and does it benefit me?

Rooting gives you access to the Operating System - in this case, Google Android OS - so that you can make changes to it to suit your own purposes. If you are a fairly ordinary user, you will probably not feel the need for it, and it may lead to some difficulties for you, such as with system updates.
