Samsung Galaxy Devices WIFI Connection issues with Access Point
Hello guys, I have been puzzling with this issues for a while now. Hoping version upgrade will fix the issues, but I gave up, and asking you android gurus for help.
FYI, My network background is somewhat OK. I have CCNA, CNA, MCSE/MCSA, MCITP/MCTS, MCDA, also few A+ certs.
For some weird reasons, any Samsung Galaxy devices on our corporate wifi have no internet access. Connections to 2.4GHz and 5GHz are fine. Signals are strong. Other devices, iOS, Windows 7 laptops, desktops and MacBooks are working just fine.
Here're what we have,
Fiber Internet connection
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
manages DNS, DHCP, RRAS, VPN, Exchange OWA, RDS and IIS
We are using self-signed certificates for our websites and we are using SSL
Netgear R6300v2 Dual-Band Router (firmware V1.0.3.22_10.0.67), configured as Access Point
broadcasting 2.4GHz (B/G/N) with WPA2 personal (AES) encryption,
5GHz (A/N/AC) with WPA2 personal (AES) encryption
Here are what I have tried out so far
On my access point router,
WMM settings on QoS is also set to turned off
Tried with other encryption method WPA TKIP and Mixed mode (with reduced speed) (Couldn't try WEP)
Tried out different channels on both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz signal
On DHCP server, I have moved Galaxy devices to reserved pool. Also I have tried assigning static IP directly on the device too.
On DNS server, instead of our own DNS, I have set up forwarder to use with Google's DNS 8.8.8.8, 4.4.8.8. Also I have tried assigning Google's DNS manually to the device too.
On galaxy devices (S4, S3, Note 2, Note 3) (Verizon Stock, not Rooted) (They work fine outside the office, on other WiFi signal, like their home, Starbucks hotspots and so on)
PassPoint is set to Off
Auto Network switch is Off
Avoid Poor Connection is Off
WiFi Power Saving mode is Off
WiFi Direct Share, WiFi Direct are Off
Multiple Reboots (Of course)
Even got replacement devices from Verizon store (thought it was defect and got them replaced anyways)
What am I doing wrong here? Any help will be appreciated!!!
