Why won't my cellphone recognize added memory?

I have an android model LG LS 660 tribute I not able it to recognize added memory.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean a microSD card? Go to Settings>Storage​. Do you see the SD card registered there?

I'm a little late to the party, but I am having the exact same problem with the LG LS660 not saving to my SD card. I am leaving the country soon, so when my plan expired I went with the much cheaper Virgin mobile plan. The LS660 I got has almost no memory. I can have MAYBE 3 apps at a time And there are only 4 gigs on the phone out of the box!

I have gone to settings, as instructed above. The Micro SDcard shows up with nearly 7 gigs available, none of which I can use or save to. The only options thay I can select from Ssettings>Storage are to unmount card and erase all data on card.

Please help!!
