Incoming calls close apps i am currently using. How do I turn this off?

Whenever I am using an app (games in particular) if I get an incoming call it will CLOSE the app (not just put it in the background) and ruin whatever I happen to be in the middle of. Is there some way to stop my phone from doing this? I'd be fine with missing the call entirely and just calling them back, it would certainly be better then what it currently does.

I am on a droid turbo BTW.
