Battery overcharging !!

HI guys.

I am sure this must be asked before but here I go.

I'm using samsung galaxy grand prime and forgot to remove it from the charger after it was fully charged. It remained connected to the charger for 5 more hours with full battery. Does this risk my phone internals in some way. I understand it might effect battery life but that can be replaced. I'm a bit worried about some damage to the phone itself.

So should I be worrying?

Re: Battery overcharging !!

Once the battery is fully charged the charging stops. If you leave it connected to the charger overnight, it might recharge briefly now and again to make good any drain that occurs, but it won't overcharge. There is however a small fire hazard.
