Why can't Windows see my "Internal Storage" on my Samsung?

A

AC Question

Hi. Was wondering if someone could help, please:

Here is the background:
1. model #: Samsung SCH I515
2. Samsung's screen is unlocked (w/password)
3. samsung is fully charged
4. I've already installed: Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.14.0 on my pc (windows 8)
5. I've tried 2 usb ports on my pc - same result in both
6. Windows sees device/name/storage (free vs. used) if I click on "samsung" in windows explorer
7. I used to have no issues with this phone at all in the past (was able to move music, pictures, etc. to the device w/no problem)...using the same cable I'm using now.

Symptom:
When i click on "internal storage" in windows explorer, the hourglass starts spinning
ultimately it ends up crashing my windows explorer

Any ideas?

Thanks.
