    I've tried rooting apps like framaroot, universal anroot, z4 root, super one click root but all to no avail.

    Welcome to the forums. The kernel may be too new for most of those apps. The downside to having a less popular device is the chances of a developer rooting it is minimal.

    See if the kernel is earlier than June 3, 2014. If it is, Towel Root will root it (it uses an exploit in the kernel, so it doesn't matter which phone you have). If not, the easiest way is to (or get someone to) put su in /system/bin and rebuild the ROM, then flash the rebuilt ROM.
