What are my options for securing my Galaxy S5 while skiing?

A

AC Question

I own a new Galaxy S5 (love the phone) and would like to use it to take pictures and listen to music on a ski trip next month. I don't currently use a case and have insurance on the phone... I'm less worried about damage then I am about dropping the phone with cold fingers on the mountain/chairlift.

What's the best way to secure the phone in my hand for use on the mountain? I've been looking for a wrist strap option (as you would secure any point-and-shoot camera), or a lanyard. I can't find anything besides the bulky waterproof bags or the feminine leather wallet styles. I'm just looking for a simple way to secure my phone.

If anyone knows of a good option, links would be greatly appreciated!

It wouldn't be too difficult to drill a small diameter (something like a #52 drill bit) hole in the edge of an Otterbox Defender case, then use a good strong ring and maybe a carabiner to fasten the phone to your glove (or just to a lanyard to your jacket).
