Have the bugs been fixed in Lollipop 5.0.1?

I received a replacement Nexus 5 after my original phone went haywire upon installation of lollipop 5.0 and 5.0 1. I had memory leak issues and my GPS kept crashing on me. I am running KitKat on my new Nexus 5 and I'm wary about installing the update 5.0.1. Should I wait until 5.0.2? Do I have to install 5.0.1 before they will offer the update? How long before the .2 update will be rolled out?
