Why won't my Galaxy S5 show the fingerprint scanner on lock, always asks for alternative password?

Galaxy S5 won't show fingerprint scanner on lock, always asks for alternative password.

when i open my galaxy S5 first it ask for the alternative password, so i cant access my finger print lock ? because i forget my alternative password. how to restart my fingerprint lock ? could u please help me ?
