Why won't the connect button on my Samsung come live to let me enter my wireless password?

The connect button on my Samsung wont come live to let me enter my wireless password

I have been trying to connect my fone to my office brightbox router, but as soon as I type the first letter of the brightbox password, the connect button dulls and wont come live. Is this because I previously entered the wrong password.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a screen-dimming app like Lux installed? These kinds of apps can oddly cause certain onscreen buttons to become nonfunctional. Try deactivating or uninstalling the app.
