Why isn't my password for my RR email account saving on my Droid Phone?

recent problems with RR email accounts on droid phone

as of late, my droid razor maxx phone(had for 2 years w/o problems) will not keep the password for my 2 rr email accts-one business, one personal, continually gives me " usename/password is not correct" messages, I will type in password, and will not recognize it. verizon has no concrete answers, says" must be a software issue". Why then has it just started. One of the email accounts is recent, but other one had for several years and no problems...
