Why is my Moto G showing an exclamation sign along with the sim icon?

hey..all ...my moto g is showing an exclamatory sign along with the sim icon how to fix this problm?

actually i have updated an android 5.0.2 on my moto g first generation..and few days it is showing an exclamatory sign along with the sim icon and thats why i m unable to use my internet connection.
someone please help me out

The SIM may be faulty or not properly seated in the SIM tray, or the SIM tray may be faulty or dirty.

My G has done the same a couple of times. Just switching off and back on solved the problem.

Are you using an app to toggle mobile data or just the stock settings?
