Just got an S4 and a Lifeproof case for it. When I call m boyfriend he always hears his voice echo. I've turned down my volume and even tried blowing on the mic/speaker (Felt really dumb doing it), nothing worked. Is this still a flaw or has it been fixed and I got a bad case? LifeProof takes forever to get in touch with.

Welcome to Android Central! I doubt it's the case--I don't see how it would cause the person you're calling to hear his own voice echo. You could test it easily by just removing the case and calling him again. Echo like that is a network issue, so contact your carrier or his.

I too have got a brand new LIFEPROOF S4 case and my callers now hear echoing. I just got off the phone to discuss with my service provider who reported a minor echo. However when asked to remove the case while on Loudspeaker the call was crystal clear once removed then changed to normal speaker. I believe this seems to be a common issue and clearly not a problem with the phone. HELP

My mistake--I found this thread that discusses the problem. There didn't seem to be a definite solution, although a couple of possible fixes are mentioned.

I'm still having a tough time understanding how this would happen. Is this happening with speakerphone turned off?
