Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? My understanding is that Zoe is separate from the main Camera app. There ought to be an icon on the camera screen that looks like a square with 4 circles in it--tap it, and you should see options for Camera, Video, Zoe, etc. Select Camera from that screen.

You can also go to Settings>Apps>All​, tap Zoe, and Disable or Uninstall it.
