Why "no authorized devices" in Google Music>Settings>My Devices

I have a Nexus 7 and a Moto G. I have music on the N7 in Play Music. It doesn't show up on my Moto G.

On both devices, in Play Music > Settings > My Devices, I get the message "no authorized devices" even though both devices are logged into the same Google account.

When you say you have music on your N7, do you mean locally stored music, or that the N7 is able to access your Google Music library in the cloud?

On your computer browser, go to Google Play Music, and click on the gear button at the upper right, then click on Settings. How many devices are listed under "Manage My Devices"?
