I recently purchased a new phone from an individual who was down on their luck and sold the phone because they needed the money. Well, when I tried to activate the phone, I was told that the phone was not properly scanned and that it needed to be taken back to the store it was purchased from and have them re-scan it! Well, I didn't know the individual I purchased it from and I don't know where it was purchased from. Is there anything that I can do to get this phone working or did I just screw myself?

Who told you that the phone was not properly scanned, did it appear on the phone? cause if it did that's a new one to me. What phone do you have?

If you can get into the phone and find the IMEI number, that might help. Any carrier or network provider, if you take the phone to them, might be able to help. Also the manufacturer.

it was stolen from the store. You cannot active a stolen phone bcus its not that it wasnt scanned properly iy wasnt scanned at all. The store will require you bring in your reciept when they scan it.
