Why isn't my usb being detected?

I've got a Galaxy tab 4 and I'm trying to set up pioneer ddjsb with the cross dj android app and my tab keeps saying no usb detected. Can anyone help?

Welcome to Android Central! Can you give us a few more details about the setup? Are you connecting the tablet to a DJ console using a USB cable? Do you know if the hookup requires an OTG cable? Because if it does, then you won't be able to do it, since the Tab 4 doesn't support OTG.

EDIT: I skimmed through the manual of the DDJ-SB. I don't think you can connect it directly to an Android device. It's only compatible with Windows and Mac. http://pioneerdj.com/support/files/img/DRI1200A.pdf
