Welcome to Android Central! You may have installed some other app that carries some adware or malware which causes this installation. You may have to uninstall other apps until the reinstallation stops occurring.

Hi, where did you buy your phones from? I bought mine from gearbest and this app was already installed on a oneplus 2. I don't think it's stock oneplus / oxygen or android so quite suspicious. Did you install the app initially?

Same exact situation here. I'm thinking Gearbest tampered with the phone before shipping it. Another odd thing. When I first went to the photo app, it quickly flashed a blurry picture of what looked like someones room with a PC in it. I have since realized that the photo app sort of "temporarily" takes a picture of the last thing it sees before the app closes. There was nothing in the album though.

If they did tamper with the phone that would be a real bummer, but not really surprising...I'll probably leave a negative review for their site if more people have similar problems. Don't want to slander them, but this is really suspicious. Installing a virus on the phone before selling it as "new" is pretty unforgivable and people deserve to be warned.

the same thing has happened to me on a oneplus 2 bought from Geekbuyer. Fun weather and another app called Shareit (with a bluetooth symbol slightly squashed) .

Both of these apps are preventing me from accessing Chrome / Ie / Firefox without redirects to the play store every 2 seconds.

no antivirus or malwarebytes seem to be able to delete it, although they do detect it.

as quite new to this kind of problem on android, does anyone have any advice on how to remove this?

    Hi again,

So I decided to send it back to gearbest given the suspicious installs and buy another phone from a more reputable source. It's been months since I started interacting with customer service and I've never had a worst customer experience, at least that I can remember. They don't want to refund and rather give "credit". They take weeks to reply to an email. They claim they never received the good at their warehouse (I have a delivery receipt, but beware there as well because they advise you not to use a usual DHL or Fedex, presumably for this exact reason...). I've waster >6-7 hrs dealing with this, just to get a phone a little cheaper and faster. Lessons learnt. Stay away from Gearbest and only buy from reputable sources!

I have had this issue for over a month, theses malwares kept installing things into my New Lenova Vibe Z2

    I have found a solution.

if you root your cellphone you can delete system programs which fun weather and Shareit are part of.

First.Get some type of antivirus like Malware bytes on your cellphone from play store and scan to find malware.
Second download kingroot from kingapp website and plug your phone into your computer with a usb

Third delete the apps from Superaccess or something like that which got installed while doing your download.

    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,Mark

I received my Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 yesterday and found that it had funweather installed and other horrible "uninstallable" apps. Having researched and spent hours trying to remove them I finally came up with a FIX.
    1. Root your phone - this is an simple process and instructions can be found on youtube
    2. Install a root file explorer
    3. Install Malwarebytes Anti malware
    4. Run Anti-Malware
    5. The AntiMalware will detect the malware and indicate the file location of the nasty files
    6. Use the root file explorer to go to each malware location and delete relevant files or folder
    7. Delete the funweather apk in the phone storage folder (I did not need to "Uninstall the funweather app, but just delete all the files, folders, and apk in the phone storage folder)
    8. Turn off phone
    9. Turn on phone and run anti-malware.
IN my case no malware was detected and the funweather and other apps had been successfully removed. Also I was able to update to MIUI 7 which I was unable to perform before this

I bought a Oneplus two phone from gearbest which had funweather already installed when I received it
I am unable to get rid of it am thinking of throwing it in the bin as it pops up porn sites and my grand daughter uses my phone and I would not like her to be exposed to this matter

Nicholas, thanks for this instruction. Nice to see that I am not the only one who got the present from Gearbest.
As to your point no. 1 - it's definitely not so easy to root any phone. My MEIZU M2 simply does not like to be rooted. I have spent hours with looking for a proper tutorial, but all attempts have failed. Even the tutorials designed for my device is not working for me - the only apps which are "routed"now are those which I can easily remove anyway.

Is there anybody here who can help me out of this nightmare?
