Why do I get an error message on my Kobo Arc7 Tablet when I try to access Outlook mail?

Kobo Arc7 Tablet and outlook email

I can't access my outlook email address on my new tablet, I get this error message: Can't connect to server.
Microsoft and Kobo say it is an android issue. Please help me or my tablet is useless to me and I can't return it.
