my new nexus 10 connection times out while watching netflex

I just bought this and it is my first tablet. Is there a way to stop it from timing out.

Probably not - because it's probably not a problem with the tablet, but with your internet path to Netflix' server. Have someone with an Android phone or tablet come over, install the app and see if it times out on theirs too (connected to your internet connection).
